Great news Jailbreakers! Pod2g confirmed, the iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak now support the iPod 3G and iPhone 3GS. So, once the Pod2g’s untethered jailbreak is released, iPhone 3GS and iPod 3rd generation owners will be able to do untethered jailbreak on their iDeveices running iOS 5.1.1
Good news. We’ve found a way through for iPod 3G and iPhone 3Gs users. Upcoming jailbreak will be compatible.

The reason these devices were initially excluded was because the kernel vulnerability used to accomplish the jailbreak on other devices didn’t appear to work on the iPod 3G and the iPhone 3GS.
